Who Is This Nick Jones?

NickNick Jones is a Pastor studying at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in Berrien

Springs, MI.  He is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree in hopes of furthering his ministry.

Before attending the Seminary, Nick was a Youth Pastor in the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists at the Sunnyside Church in Portland, OR and is still currently employed by the Oregon Conference.  He previously studied Theology at Walla Walla University in southeastern Washington and graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Theology in 2007.  He has a wife and a son.

Nick is a northwestern boy who was transplanted at an early age.  Even though Nick has lived in the northwest very little compared to other parts of the world, he claims the Pacific northwest as his home.  Most of his life has been spent on the East Coast of the United States, Maryland to be exact.  However, he has also lived in Germany, Washington, Oregon, and most recently Michigan.

What?

Ok, enough with the 3rd person.  If you need an official "bio" go ahead and use the above.  This section is for me just to talk a little bit about myself.

I love cycling.  You can frequently find me in the countryside here in Southwest Michigan (or Michiana) cycling away on my bike.  Cycling has become one of my passions throughout my life, I just didn't get serious about it until my senior year at Walla Walla University.  I love group riding, and if you're up for it, you're more than welcome to join me on my 20+ mile rides.

Another love of mine is photography.  I have taken many pictures and the reason I changed the lay out of the blog was to display some of my pictures that correspond with each post.  So not only will this blog expand my spiritual life, but also my photographic eye because I need to plan ahead and take pictures of things that will correspond with each post.

I love life and ministry.  And while both may become stressful at time, I count on God's grace and strength to help me through.  He has become a big part of my life.  I hope that, through this blog, I can help others realize how important He is to me and how good He is.  I hope that my spiritual walk will help inspire others to gain a better relationship with God.  But primarily, I hope that I can be open and listen to those who need to talk.

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Leave a comment on a post that touches you, or about a picture that moves you.  I'd appreciate it!
